This work is from the TAKEOVER exhibition as part of my Creative Arts course at Aberystwyth Arts Centre in May 2025. The exhibit consists of posters relating to political quotes and manifestos, which highlight the sometimes absurd and satirical side of politics and shows the power of words when those phrases are mixed with those from the public. The posters highlight confusion, absurdity and the need for change with a hint of comedy. There is also an interactive side to the project where the audience at the event can respond to questions that I ask live on a whiteboard, creating a space for community and a sharing of ideas and beliefs about the world.
